One of the objects often used are clothing tags, primarily the ones found sewn on the inside of garments. They are unflashy and dense in text, describing care instructions that often go ignored and unread. As clothing grows more disposable, and trends fleeting, the use of hand-stitching serves as a juxtaposition, treating the tags with a level of care that we do not often give our clothes. By bringing the hidden to the forefront ,the artist allows the audience to reflect on the way they approach and consume clothing- as a necessity, an indulgence, or a means of expression.
